Safeguarding

Oldfield-136

At Oldfield Primary, safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. We are fully committed to ensuring the safety, well-being, and protection of every child in our care.

We believe that all children have the right to feel safe, secure, and supported—both in school and beyond. Our staff are trained to recognise signs of abuse or neglect and act quickly and appropriately if concerns arise. We work closely with families and external agencies to provide the right help at the right time.

Our safeguarding policies and procedures are regularly reviewed and follow the latest statutory guidance, including Keeping Children Safe in Education. All staff, governors, and volunteers undergo safeguarding checks and regular training.

Children are taught how to stay safe—online, in the community, and in their personal lives—through our curriculum, assemblies, and wider school activities. We encourage pupils to speak up, knowing that they will be listened to and supported.

If you have any concerns about a child's safety or well-being, please contact one of our Designated Safeguarding Leads:
