E-Safety
At Oldfield Primary School, safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do—including our commitment to keeping children safe online. We recognise that the internet is a powerful tool for learning, creativity, and connection, and we are dedicated to helping children use it safely and responsibly.
All pupils and staff at Oldfield sign an Acceptable Use Agreement upon joining the school, in line with our E-Safety Policy, which can be accessed on the Trust website.
Our online safety curriculum is designed to equip children with the knowledge and skills they need to stay safe while navigating the digital world. Children are regularly taught about online safety, responsible internet use, and how to use mobile technology safely. We also mark Safer Internet Day each year with special activities and workshops, supported by our local Police Community Support Officer (PCSO).
We believe that promoting safe internet use is a shared responsibility between school and home. If you ever have concerns about your child’s online activity or digital wellbeing, please speak to your child’s class teacher.
