All children are expected to wear the school uniform to a high standard when attending school, or when participating in a school-organised event outside normal school hours.  This reflects their pride in being part of our school  community, and is important preparation for secondary school, and beyond that, the workplace.

Oldfield Primary School Uniform Policy

School Uniform 

  • White polo shirt (tucked in)

  • Teal sweatshirt or cardigan

  • Plain black or grey tailored trousers 

  • Plain black or grey tailored Skirt (knee length), or pinafore (knee length)

  • Plain tights in black or grey  only

  • Plain socks in black grey or white knee or ankle socks

  • Plain black flat shoes 

  • Plain black  or grey  tailored school shorts (summer option)

  • Teal gingham dresses (summer option)

  • Plain black or grey hijab

PE Kit

  • Plain white T-shirt ( school logo optional)
  • Teal fleece hoodie (for outdoor wear only)
  • Plain black shorts
  • Plain black joggers
  • Plain black sweatshirt / training top/ hoodie (No logos)
  • Suitable trainers

Optional Items

  • Teal book bags
  • Baseball caps or summer hat

 

Hair, Jewelry and Make-up

  • Children should be well-groomed at all times. 
  • Hair fashion items are discouraged
  • Children may wear a wristwatch, but not a mart watch 
  • One plain silver or gold stud can be worn in the lobe of each ear.
  • False nails are not allowed
  • No make-up

Uniform Vouchers 

Vouchers are available if you claim free school meals based on benefit entitlement (but not R-Y2 Universal FSM scheme). These are usually distributed within the last term of Summer.
