Religious Education

At Haworth Primary, our Open Minds curriculum helps children explore big questions about life, beliefs, and values in a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment. With limited cultural exposure, our pupils benefit from rich discussions that promote understanding, tolerance, and resilience.

Children learn about a wide range of religions and worldviews—locally, nationally, and globally—encouraging respectful dialogue and critical thinking. Open Minds is not just a subject but a mindset, woven into school life through assemblies, classroom discussions, and everyday interactions.

We work closely with local faith leaders and the Interfaith Centre to provide real-world experiences, helping our pupils grow into open-minded, thoughtful members of society.
